The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) requires all holders of service licences issued under the Electronic Communications Act to submit audited annual financial statements or financial statements signed by their accounting officer by no later than 6 months after their financial year end. For instance, if a licensee’s financial year ends in February, they must submit their documentation by August 31st of that same year.
Additionally, ICASA requires licensees who haven’t begun providing services under their licenses within six months of their financial year end to send them a formal confirmation letter.
